Here’s what family members and residents have to say about Higher Ground…
I can never repay you for all your patience and kindness in the care of my mother over these past few years. If it wasn’t for your love, things would have been so much different in the final years of her life. Thank you, also, for allowing her to die with dignity in your home under Hospice care.
We wanted to say how pleased we are that our brother, Ivan, chose Higher Ground. Everything about it says “family and home.” We can tell in the way you talk to and about the others that stay there, that this is not just a source of income but a calling to help others…”Inasmuch as you have done it unto the least of these, you have done it unto Me.” Thank you! You made us feel so welcome on our visit with Ivan.

There are no words to express our sincere gratitude for all you have done for Mom these past few years. Her life has been greatly enriched because of your love and care for her and being the family that she so needed. You are so appreciated by us all.

Maggie and I can’t begin to express our thanks for what you have been ding with my father. Your friendship, patience and constraining love has been a true blessing. Seeing him on the video singing really blessed us. We believe the Lord allowed our paths to cross to allow my dad another opportunity to regain, and enjoy, some of his Christian heritage. Thank you so very much for your time, commitment, and attention to him. Your friends in, and because of Christ.

I want to thank you for all that you do for my mom. For all of your help, kindness, caring and prayers. Thank you for the loving and beautiful environment and the loving staff. All of you contribute such love and caring to everyone. My heart was lifted by being here and I’m so glad I finally got to meet you.

I lived at Higher Ground for almost two years and I can truly say you could not find a better Assisted Living Facility anywhere. The Christian atmosphere and loving care I received while there was the very best you could get.
The staff made everyone part of their family and they were always thinking of all kinds of fun things to do, such as games, bus trips, bible study, contests, and anything else they could do to make things as enjoyable as could be.
The meals are delicious and served in an attractive and formal atmosphere. If hungry in between mealtimes, they have snack time with all kinds of delicious things from cookies to banana splits to root beer floats. They also take residents to doctor visits or wherever they need to go. The staff are the very best at serving people as well as serving the Lord.
It was great while I lived at Higher Ground. The only reason I left was because my daughter retired and wanted me to come live with her; otherwise, I would still be there!
